This area shares a deeper understanding of the progress and the challenges involved in our Journey to Carbon Neutrality. Started in Fall 2021 at our Portland and Munich events, this Fall’s education program rolls out phase two of our focus topic, Journey to Carbon Neutrality—Time to Score, providing even more data and knowledge about how best to measure and manage material production, with guideposts helpful to achieving planet-positive results.

We recognize a common link with most of our Exhibitors and Attendees, the Outdoors. When we look into the rich history of this marketplace, it is hard not to respect the imagination and ingenuity of the pioneers who started this Outdoor Industry. The four innovators we are showcasing at the Fall edition of Functional Fabric Fair are Abercrombie & Fitch, Frostline Kits, the Gerry Mountaineering Equipment Company and Patagonia.

The PERFORMANCE FORUM retains its reputation as the perfect platform to introduce and view the latest textile and accessory innovations and trends. The PERFORMANCE FORUM creates a one-of-a-kind platform where designers and managers can start their sourcing by viewing the top-performing fabrics in active and outdoor apparel. Divided into 13 main categories, the PERFORMANCE FORUM Fabrics cover all the essential areas in functional fabrics.

Mix and Mingle! Join the Functional Fabric Fair team and friends of the Industry for a celebration of Day 1! Happy Hour sponsored by drirelease will take place at the education stage from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM. Enjoy complimentary beer and wine while networking with other industry professionals.

Complimentary coffee and Portland’s famous Voodoo Doughnuts will be available on the show floor! Voodoo Doughnuts was created and opened in 2000 in a storefront described as a downtown Portland “hole-in-the-wall.” The company has over 13 locations in six states and has gained major buzz regarding its unconventional and innovative doughnuts. Stop by the Functional Fabric Footwear Pavilion between 9:00 AM- 3:00 PM to pick up your Voodoo Doughnuts and booth 946 between 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM for your complimentary coffee!
